Man Drove Drunk on Driver-Training Track, Cops Say
May 31, 2012
A 21-year-old East Helena man was cited for drunken driving after officers stopped a small car on a driving track owned by the Helena Regional Airport Authority and used, in part, for law enforcement and emergency response vehicle training.
The Independent Record reports a dispatcher in the nearby Helena 911 Center noticed a car on the track at 2:30 a.m. Sunday and alerted nearby officers.
Helena Police Chief Troy McGee says Jeremy Landon didn’t get to drive too much before officers arrested him for driving under the influence.
