July 10, 2012

An infant hidden in a carry-on bag was discovered by airport personal when the bag was put through the X-ray scan for luggage. The couple put the baby’s life in danger when they tried to smuggle the infant into the United Arab Emirates.

According to the Mercury News, authorites at the Sharjah airport typically scan luggage upon arrival and you can imagine their surprise when the X-ray revealed an infant. The couple had no passport, visa or any other documents for the baby boy that would allow him entry into the UAE.

Authorities at the airport are reported as saying that the parent’s scheme put this baby’s life in danger. According to Fox News live Monday, authorities and airport screeners have seen many strange things picked up by the bag X-ray, but this is probably a first for seeing a baby put through this machine.
