Queens Angler Reels In 30 Lb. Turtle

A Queens angler was hoping to catch some fish but instead reeled in a 30-pound turtle off a Brooklyn pier.
It appears to be a baby loggerhead turtle, which can grow to be 3 feet long and up to 300 pounds.
WNBC-TV says a silver tag attached to the reptile’s flipper saysNational Park Service of Florida.
Marine biologists plan to release it back into the wild.
Kaheem Evans said he was fishing off a pier in Canarsie, Brooklyn, on Wednesday when he hooked the turtle.
