Truck Breaks Through Wall of Marysville Schools Office

A pickup truck crashed through the front wall of the Board of Education offices early yesterday, forcing district administrators to set up shop in an old middle school.

It’s not ideal, Superintendant Diane Mankins said, but for now, it’s the best the district can do.

Police say Ernest W. Otto II, a 29-year-old from Michigan, crashed his company truck through the front wall of the district offices at 1000 Edgewood Dr., just after 6 a.m. yesterday.

Otto was driving for Liquid Meter Services, a company in Mount Pleasant, Mich., and police said he was in town on business. He was treated for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
