Two men face charges after they ran through a Virginia Beach movie theater wearing clown masks.
Virginia Beach police spokesman Jimmy Barnes tells WAVY-TV that Blake Newton and Jamar K. Washington Jr. are charged with wearing masks in public, a felony, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Washington also is charged with possession of marijuana and two weapons counts. He says he had a knife.
The incident occurred Monday evening at Regal Columbus Theaters.
Washington tells WAVY that he didn’t intend to scare or hurt anyone. Newton says the pair “just messed up.”
