Jeweler Offers Shotguns To customers Who Spend More Than $1,999
In a bid to get more men into his store, one jeweler is to offer free rifles to men who spend at least $1,999 on an engagement ring.
Harold van Beek, 50, who runs Jewelery By Harold, in North Liberty, Iowa, said he was inspired to start the deal with the onset of the deer hunting season.
He told KCRG-TV: ‘I thought let’s do something for the boy who doesn’t like to hunt for diamonds, but likes to hunt for deer.’
The gun is widely used for sport shooting, hunting, and self-defense as well as some law enforcement and military organisations.

An employee from Fin and Feather, who is supplying Mr van Beek with the firearms, described the particular model as ‘durable’ and ‘foolproof’.
Although the deal has not started yet Mr van Beek says that the response has been ‘overwhelming’.
He told MailOnline: ‘The first responses from clients started last night at 2am by email. Today we will schedule our first meetings with clients for custom design rings.’
