‘Dead Man’ Interrupts his Own Funeral

Gilberto Araujo’s family and friends spent a whole night mourning over the life of a loved one they believed had been taken.

Arujo, a car washer, was believed to have been murdered while working in the streets of brazil.

He was informed about his own ‘death’  from a neighbor he ran into on the streets, who told him his family was holding a wake for him.

Shocked, he tried to call his family to let them know he was alive and well but was mistaken for someone pulling a cruel prank.

He decided the best way to make them understand was if they saw him in person.

He showed up 2 hours before he was due to be buried and baffled his whole family.

The body that was mistaken for his was of a fellow car washer who held an uncanny resemblance to Araujo.

Police chief Glauco Suzart says the body, that has now been identified as that of Genivaldo Santos Gama has been returned to the morgue and family members have been notified.
