Man Get’s 15 Years for Biting Off Man’s Nose
A jury in North Texas sentenced a man Wednesday to 15 years in prison for biting off the nose of a person he quarreled with while washing a car.
Prosecutors say 37-year-old Christopher W. Harris and another homeless man began to argue last year while washing the car together. They say Harris grabbed the man in a bear hug and bit his nose, removing half of it. Efforts to reattach it were unsuccessful.
Prosecutors say it’s the third time Harris has bitten someone. In 2001, he was sentenced to nine months for biting a jailer’s finger. In 2006, he was sentenced to four years for biting off a portion of a man’s finger. He chewed on the digit before swallowing.
